Built at the beginning of the 20th century as a jewelery factory, the Richardson Building in Newark, NJ, was converted and expanded to 65 rental units. The two new floors that were added are architecturally separated by a change in materialty and window configuration.
The interior of the building is shaped by a large atrium featuring the original spiral staircase.
